The Handbook · Robinhood Chain

Machines that earn.
A token that only burns.

RH Machines is 10,000 NFTs that get paid real, tokenised stock every week. PRINTER is the fixed-supply token that powers them. This is how the two fit together, in plain English, checked against the live contracts.

Machines earn STOCK. They do not make PRINTER.

The two do opposite jobs. A Machine is an earner. It pays you real tokenised stock. PRINTER is fuel. You burn it to switch a Machine on and make it bigger. No Machine ever mints, prints, or pays out PRINTER. Nothing can make new PRINTER, so the token only gets rarer while the Machines keep earning.

Part one · the fuel

$PRINTER: fixed forever, burns only

A token literally named PRINTER that cannot be printed. Every unit that will ever exist was made on day one, and from then on the number only falls.

200M

minted once at launch, then never again. The contract has no mint function and no owner, so more can't be created by anyone.

153M

circulating today, and it only goes down. Around 30% of all PRINTER has already been burned.

Where it started

The whole 200M was split at genesis and handed out at once:

What burns it

Every burn is permanent. The tokens leave circulation for good:

  • Inking Machines. Waking or levelling a Machine destroys the PRINTER you feed it.
  • Fusing Machines. Every Proton fuse burns 5,000 PRINTER, win or lose.
  • Buyback and burn. printer.fun trading fees buy PRINTER off the market and burn it.

PRINTER is not a yield token. You do not earn it for holding a Machine. It is the fuel you spend, and because it can only be burned, spenders and sellers make it scarcer for everyone who stays.

Part two · the earners

RH Machines: 10,000 little stock desks

Each Machine is an NFT with its own on-chain account that collects its stock. It has two states: asleep (earning nothing) or awake (earning every week). You choose when to switch it on.

Dormant

A brand-new Machine is asleep. It sits in your wallet, looks great, and earns nothing. Nothing is lost, it is just off.

Active

Burn PRINTER into it (this is called inking) and it wakes up. From then on it earns a share of stock every epoch, forever.

Weight is the size of your slice

When stock is paid out, it is split by weight. More weight, bigger slice. Weight comes from two things: how rare your Machine is (fixed at mint) and how much PRINTER you have burned into it.

weight = rarity × √( ink burned ÷ 4,250 )

The square root means the first ink counts most. Burn the PRINTER to double your weight, then 9× for triple. Rarer Machines start from a higher base.

Wake it (once)

Burn about 4,250 PRINTER to activate, which is roughly 5,000 once you include the 15% operating fee. That sets it to 1× and it starts earning next epoch.

Level it up (any time)

Keep inking to climb past 1×. There is no fixed cost per level. The curve above tells you exactly what any multiplier takes.

Gates open as the fleet burns

How high you can go rises with total PRINTER burned across everyone: until 25M burned, then (25M), (60M), (100M), and uncapped at 150M. Everyone climbs together.

Weight changes take effect next epoch, never mid-week. Ink today, and the bigger slice lands on the following payout, so a late top-up cannot grab a drop that has already been earned.

Part three · the payout

How a Machine actually earns

Every fee in the ecosystem flows into one pot. Each week the Machines vote on what the pot buys, it is bought as real stock, and it is dropped into your Machines by weight.

Fees fill the pot

Trading fees, the 5% terminal swap, printer.fun, the anvil, secondary-sale royalties and fusion fees all convert into one pot of USDG. Roughly 80% reaches holders, 20% covers ops.

Machines vote, by weight

There are 16 desks, each a real stock. Every awake Machine votes with its weight for one desk. Voting is open for 48 hours each epoch.

Winner takes the whole pot

The desk with the most votes wins 100% of the pot, and it is bought as that stock. The winner is then barred for 4 epochs, so the pot rotates instead of one desk hogging it.

Stock drops into your Machines

Every active Machine gets a share of the bought stock by weight, paid straight into its own account. Wearing the winning desk earns you on that drop.

You claim it

Your stock sits in each Machine's account until you pull it out to your wallet. Claim one, or claim all your Machines at once.

Epochs are weekly (they were 3.5 days for the first four). Dormant Machines earn nothing. Only awake Machines get a slice.

Part four · everything else you can do

The other levers

de-Ink

Pay a small ETH fee (about $7) to send an active Machine back to sleep. Use it to reset a Machine before selling or re-building it.

Careful: the PRINTER you already burned stays burned. De-inking gives none of it back. It only changes the Machine's state.

The Proton (fusion)

Feed one Machine into another to make the survivor heavier. It is a gamble. It costs about $7 ETH plus 5,000 PRINTER burned, win or lose.

80% win, 20% miss. On a win, a sleeping sacrifice makes the target 1.5×, and an awake one adds 1.5× its weight. Capped at 100×. Either way the sacrifice ends up a dormant husk.

The Anvil

An instant buy and sell desk for Machines, priced against a vault. Sell a Machine for PRINTER, or grab one without waiting for a listing. The spread feeds the pot.

The Print Run

A weekly raffle. Buy tickets or throw your upcoming stock into the pool for a shot at a jackpot that climbs from a lollipop all the way to a supercar.

Why it holds together

The flywheel

Everything points the same way. Activity buys stock for holders and destroys PRINTER. Sellers pay stayers, and nothing dilutes anyone.
